Erinyes: Amazon 7 (lighting/material test)

Character designs for a storyline inspired by Samurai 7 [link]

This render is a test for light and material settings. The lights in the tunnel, armor and door were turned into functional mesh lights via Reality 2.5 and an IBL sphere provided fill.

Now that I know how much light can be generated the next step is applying displacement maps to the Darkstar set, HAAS suit and the metal parts in the scene. It'll be a major pita but so worth it

Story background:

After the Jerusalem settlement on New Terra is decimated and the planet occupied by the Aurceynnor of Awui Sextus, the politicians of mother planet Terra Primus are locked their usual cycle of handwringing, posturing and inaction.

Seren (Captain) Orit Shachar of Shayetet 13 goes rogue and assembles a wetworks team to deal with the aliens.

Her first two recruits: bounty hunters Karimah Tanenih from Novum Mbombela, whose entire body is a lethal weapon, compelled by law-enforcement to use the "tools of the trade" to give her bounties a chance of surviving and Maja Vargas, from Pocito Belmopan, who “can track a falling dust mote from the other end of the galaxy”.
